Happy Veterans Day: Never Forget Their Sacrifices

Thanks to all my fellow Veterans that have served and protected our country throughout its history.

The older I get the more I understand and appreciate the sacrifices that so many of our men and women gave to protect our freedoms and our way of life in the greatest country on Earth.

Many gave their lives and others their limbs and/or lost the full functionality of their mental capacities so that we can continue to enjoy all the blessings bestowed upon the United States of America.

Never forget that all the things you cherish and enjoy about the USA are made possible by those men and women who have served — and continue to serve — in our armed forces.

So please honor them not only on this day, but every day.

As the war in Iraq has wound down and the war in Afghanistan is about to, tens of thousands of our Veterans are coming home. Moreover, many of those men and women returning home will also be leaving the service.

You can best honor these Veterans by: helping them find employment, aiding and comforting the wounded warriors through your hospital visitations and letters, and contributing your time and/or money to the various recognized organizations that suppor them.
