Class A Track & Field Coaches Poll: Week 3
2010 Class A Girls Team Champion looks Like a Photo Finish
Last year, Lincoln Southwest just nudged out Omaha Central by a mere four points (67-63) to claim the Class A girls track and field title. It looks like another close race in 2010.
Anyone of the top 5 girls teams (as voted on by the coaches) could wind up being the state champ this year. An injury here, a poor performance there, and/or an unexpected top performance is all that will eventually determine the 2010 Girls Class A Track & Field team champion. And weather permitting; there should be some great competition amongst these top girl teams in April and May. That should mean some stellar individual performances down the pike. Will that translate into records? Hopefully it will.
Stay tuned for Jon Preister’s Weekly Track & Field Review and Preview coming tomorrow.
