What about the Sr. @ Adams Central running the 300IM with a time of 40.1 or the Sr @ Wood River with a time of 14.8 for 110HH

I just checked NSAA, and Sarah Lyons ran an 11.6 in 2006 obviously wind-aided, but still electronic, so the North girls time wouldn’t be the fastest ever. I think sometimes too many people get too caught up in the now and forgot some great athletes in the past.

Anonymous: Thanks for the info. Sarah Lyons was a great one and she did very well her first couple of years at Rice. Right now in my book Sarah Lyons is the greatest Nebraska HS girl sprinter of all time (100, 200 and 400). I haven’t forgot about her!. But Nichols is closing in— she just became the greatest 400m sprinter. If she stays focused and healthy she could become the best 200m too. The 100 is still very questionable—an 11.60
      may be

out of her range right now in HS but I can see her getting there in college. Nonetheless, it’s important that she keeps trying to get faster in the 100 and 200 because it will help to lower her times in the 400—that’s her race. Records are made to be broken, Like Angee’s records, Nichols’ will fall someday too.
