On Thursday (July 26), Nebraska high school 200 meter state record holder Kenzo Cotton ran a 22.04 200 meter semifinal time to lead all intermediate boys going into Saturday’s finals at the USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships, contested at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland.

Fans in attendance at the Millard South Invite, on Thursday, were treated to witnessing Fremont sophomore Danny Aldaba run the 3rd fastest 1600m (4:12.24) in Nebraska High school history. His time was less than 2 seconds shy of the all-time best mark of 4:10.44

This past Wednesday, Millard South’s Morgan Woitzel signed a letter of intent to attend Nebraska.
Wotizel tied the state meet 400 meter mark (55.67, 6th best all-time) as a freshman and during her a sophomore year she nearly entered the all time chart in the 800 meter.
