Brandin Bryant: Omaha North LB/DE has the goods!

Bryant Releases His 2010 Senior Year YouTube Highlight Video

You know what they say about cream always rising to the top? Well, Omaha North class of 2011 LB Brandin Bryant stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 245 pounds so you would think a young man this big and talented would be hard to miss—especially when you consider how he plays. But Bryant happens to be among those few prospects that rise up every year about this time in the recruiting cycle that make you say “Hmm, now there’s a player with a lot of potential to play some serious college ball!”

Bryant also has a lot of strength and speed to go along with all that beef: 400lbs bench; 525lbs squat and 4.72 forty yard dash speed. What I like most about his highlight film is that Bryant takes good angles to the ball, has good lateral movement and possesses the ability to quickly shed blockers and find the ball. He is still raw in some areas but those base skills along with his size and speed make him very attractive. He also shows very good explosiveness off the ball from the down position—could make a great DE.

Currently Bryant says he is still getting looks from Kansas and Iowa State, while North Dakota State and South Dakota are considering possible offers once they wrap up their regular seasons and get him up there for an official visits.  I’m pretty sure someone is going to lick up this cream.
