Early Results Show Promise for 2012 Track & Field Season

Thanks for visiting my Hit News.com

Record-setting spring temperatures have already translated into some eyebrow raising early season times and marks. Hopefully, continued ideal weather will aid the development of new stars to replace the loss to graduation of the many quality performers that thrilled us over the past few years.

Normally at this time in the track season I give my prediction in regards to the level of record-breaking and or all-time best marks we can expect to see this season. Not this year!

In regards to number of all-time best times and marks that could be set—the 2012 Nebraska high school track and field has the potential to surpass any season we have seen in the past few years or it could end up as one of the worst. I am going to wait a couple more weeks before trying to figure how this year will turn out.

Here is a look at some of the stronger early season times and marks recorded this year:

Too bad about the Bellevue meet and weather last night. Some nice early results for events that finished. But no hurdles, 800, 200, disappointing… Some athletes we haven’t “heard” from yet.
